Alex Coleman Associates have been commissioned to prepare a feasibility study and masterplan for the development of a one-acre site Greenfield site 2 kilometres west of Epsom and formerly owned and used by West Park Hospital Social Club.
The proposal is to demolish the now-derelict social club building and provide five contemporary dwellings on the site. The development will comprise a mix of 3,4 and 5-bedroom detached house types and in accordance with Policy CS 9, 20% of these will be ‘affordable’ and constructed to a minimum of Level 3 in the Code for Sustainable Homes with the private units designed and built to a standard known as Eco-homes “Excellent”.
The development will achieve a minimum of 10% of the total energy requirements by renewable energy sources, and will include the installation of meters to monitor the output from the approved renewable energy systems.
The scheme will provide an attractive residential development promoting strong community values. It will be designed in accordance with all the relevant policies for new developments being proposed within the Green Belt and the planning application to be submitted to Epsom and Ewell Borough Council will be accompanied by the following supporting documents:

Arboricultural Report including Tree Protection Plan
